Do not wallow in your mistakes.
Do not grovel and prostrate yourself in hopes of forgiveness.
We all make mistakes.
Apologize and move forward.
Do not replay the event in your head.
Do not continue to beat yourself up.
 Do not profusely explain,
 defend yourself,
make excuses or blame.
After you apologize, do no more explaining;
never explain more than once — ever.
When you keep explaining and rehashing you just keep your mistake alive.
Learn your lesson and adjust your behavior and move forward.
Let people see you overcoming your mistakes with integrity.
Most mistakes which seem huge in the heat of the moment are quickly forgotten.
We often even further bond with others through surviving our mistakes together.
Big mistakes are an outstanding opportunity
to showcase your ability to recover and have grace under pressure.
The bigger the mistake the bigger the opportunity.
This is how you turn it all around.

I have come to accept the feeling of not knowing where I am going.
And I have trained myself to love it.
Because it is only when we are suspended in mid-air
 with no landing in sight,
that we force our wings to unravel
 and alas begin our flight.
And as we fly,
we still may not know where we are going to.
But the miracle is in the unfolding of the wings.
You may not know where you're going,
but you know that so long as you spread your wings,
the winds will carry you.

Birthday Prayer

Author Unknown

Thank you, God, for giving me another year of life.
Thank you for all the people who remembered me today
by sending cards, and letters, gifts and good wishes.

Thank you for all the experience of this past year;
for times of success which will always be happy memories,
for times of failure which reminded me of my own weakness and of my need for you,
for times of joy when the sun was shining,
for times of sadness which drove me to you.

Forgive me
for the hours I wasted,
for the chances I failed to take,
for the opportunities I missed this past year.
Help me in the days ahead to make this the best year yet,
and through it to bring good credit to myself,
happiness and pride to my loved ones,
and joy to you.
Amen

- The World Is Mine! -

Today, upon a bus,

I saw a very beautiful woman
And wished I were as beautiful.
When suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and used a crutch.
But as she passed, she passed a smile.
Oh Father above, forgive me when I whine.
I have two legs; the world is mine.

I stopped to buy some candy.
The lad who sold it had such charm.
I talked with him, he seemed so glad.
If I were late, it’d do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me,
“I thank you, you’ve been so kind.
It’s nice to talk with folks like you.
You see,” he said, “I’m blind.”
Oh My, forgive me when I whine.
I have two eyes; the world is mine.

Later while walking down the street,
                    I saw a child I knew.
He stood and watched the others play,
but he did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said,
“Why don’t you join them dear?”
He looked ahead without a word.
                I forgot, he couldn’t hear.
Oh No, forgive me when I whine.
I have two ears; the world is mine.

With feet to take me where I’d go..
With eyes to see the sunset’s glow.
With ears to hear what I’d know.
Dear Lord, forgive me when I whine.
I’ve been blessed indeed, the world is mine.

Sometimes life will knock you flat on your back

and it may seem like all the problems in the world gang up on you to hold you down.

You may feel trapped,

but you know you can't give up.

Listen to me.

You've got to find a way out of the situation.

Get an attitude.

Make the decision that you will overpower whatever you are going through.

Don't stop to complain.

Focus all your time and energy on getting ahead.

Give yourself one reason everyday why you are better

or bigger than the place in which you find yourself.

You don't have the luxury to get depressed or feel sorry for yourself.

 Look all around you relentlessly....

search for ways to free yourself.

 Keep moving...

keep fighting...

keep falling forward.

You are stronger than you give yourself credit for being.

Affirm to yourself over and over again..

"I will persist until I succeed."

You have GREATNESS within you!

"In moments of challenges in life
it is always good to just take a moment and just be...
be still.
Forget about the worries of the day,
of life and look deep within your soul for the answers that you seek.
Your soul always knows,
it will guide you through your journey,
but you have to learn to quiet the chatter of everyday life and listen.
It will speak loudly if you just quiet yourself enough to hear it..
Learn to trust it,
let it guide you along your journey,
it will never lead you astray."

I wanted a perfect ending.

Now I've learned, the hard way,

that some poems don't rhyme,

and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end.

Life is about not knowing,

having to change,

taking the moment and making the best of it,

without knowing what's going to happen next.

Delicious Ambiguity.

Love the life you have, because it's priceless.
You can never get it back when it's gone.
That being said, make the most of it.
Stop complaining!
I'm sure it gets tiring down talking yourself,
not believing and having a pity party all the time,
so imagine what it's like to have to see and hear it all the time being someone else.
Quite frankly,
most of the people that complain don't even know what "hard work" is now a days.
The "beautiful" girls and guys think they deserve a good man or woman,
when you don't even have a job or car.
More people need to invest time into bettering their own life
and when making positive progress, don't get hung up on it,
just stay quiet and keep pushing for more.
It's never about what you did,
but it's what you're doing.
You are limitless!

Do not let anything that happens in life be important enough
that you are willing to close your heart over it.
When your heart starts to close just say,
“No. I’m not going to close. I’m going to relax.
I’m going to let this situation take place and be there with it.”
Honor and respect the situation, and deal with it.
By all means deal with it.
Do the best you can.
But deal with it with openness.
Deal with it with excitement and enthusiasm.
No matter what it is, just let it be the sport of the day.
In time, you will forget how to close.
 No matter what anyone does,
no matter what situation takes place,
you won’t even feel the tendency to close.
You will just embrace life with all your heart and soul.

Tears are good.
What flows is alive.
Crying is like a thundershower for the soul.
The air feels so wonderful after the rain.
 Don't think too much.
 Breathe.
Don't be harsh or demanding on yourself.
Just experience your feelings
and know that your tears are announcing change in your life.
Change is coming; like a summer rain —
 to wash away your pain.
Have faith that things are getting better.

One Blistering Kiss
Out of the moment, one blistering kiss

To the vapors, of passion's heavy mist

Hand in hand, sweaty salts to lick

Round the glass the clock's fingers tick

Hypnotized by the music of her sighs

The heart won't fly for simple lust or lies

Into the abyss, of the deepest heart I dive

And hold my breath 'til death, to stay alive.

The things you are passionate about call you every day.
When it has been said they are your calling,
literally it means they are always calling,
like a long lost lover waiting to reunite and settle with you.
They are your therapy,
your best and truest you.
Your deepest you.
Follow their call to the end.
They are pieces of your hearts puzzle
wanting to bestow a peace on your view and sight of the world.
They are your means of exploring the world,of experiencing yourself.
They are your soul's food.
Go where they call you.
Let your fear no longer stop you.
It is building your daily life around your passions that will complete you,
you will need no person to do that afterwards
and then the beautiful thing from that is
your relationships will become even more meaningful.

For those we love we carry our hopes deeply in our hearts.

We anguish when we must watch their painful mistakes.

We suffer when they suffer;

 we rejoice in their joy.

Our connection is tempered in both strife and triumph.

We struggle, cry, pray and hope for the best.

Sometimes we feel taken for granted or unappreciated.

But we stand by their side; steady, true and unwavering.

For those we love we will carry any burden.

Love is the promise that we will be there tomorrow.

This is dedicated to those we love and cherish.

A Promise — today, tomorrow and forever.

We all think we have so many problems.
Yet all of these problems fall under just four categories of life:
 love, health, prosperity and self-expression.
So, in spite of how overwhelming it all looks,
we only have four areas to clean up.
And love is the most important of all.
 When we love ourselves,
it is easy to love others and for others to love us.
This, in turn, improves our relationships and our work conditions.
Loving ourselves is the key ingredient for good health.
