Have you doubted your progress,
regretted your choices,
put yourself down?
Remember that you are doing just fine.
Remind yourself right now
that no matter what it looks like,
you are doing the best you can.
And getting better.
Encourage yourself,
support yourself,
and celebrate every little thing about yourself.

“The extraordinary is waiting quietly
beneath the skin of all that is ordinary.
Light is in both the broken bottle and the diamond,
and music is in both the flowing violin
and the water dripping from the drainage pipe.
JOY is in both the front row and the bleachers,
if we are willing to be where we are.”

— Mark Nepo, The Book of Awakening

So often when things change in our lives,
we have such a resistance to the change.
This is because when people see a big change appearing
they're often fearful that it's something bad.
But it is important to remember
that when something big changes in our lives,
it means something better is coming.
There cannot be a vacuum in the Universe,
and so as something moves out,
something must come in and replace it.
When change comes,
relax,
 have total faith,
and know that the change is ALL GOOD.
Something more magnificent is coming to you!

Don't take anything personally.
Nothing others do is because of you.
What others say and do is a projection of their own reality,
 their own dream.
When you are immune
to the opinions and actions of others,
you won't be the victim of needless suffering.

To offer no resistance to life
is to be in a state of grace, ease, and lightness.
This state is then no longer dependent upon things
being in a certain way,
good or bad.
 It seems almost paradoxical,
yet when your inner dependency on form is gone,
the general conditions of your life,
 the outer forms,
tend to improve greatly.
Things, people, or conditions that you thought
you needed for your happiness now come to you
with no struggle or effort on your part,
and you are free to enjoy and appreciate them -
 while they last.
All those things, of course, will still pass away,
cycles will come and go,
but with dependency gone
there is no fear of loss anymore.
Life flows with ease.

Are you holding on to a part of your life that has long expired?

Each season in life comes with an expiration date,

so life is about releasing and surrendering.

Give yourself permission to let go...

of past regrets, failures or mistakes;

 unresolved pain and disappointments;

or actions that you should of, would have, or could have taken ~

but you didn't.

Choose to give in and surrender to your dream,

 your passion, and your calling.

 Marion White said...

"In life when you don't have enough courage and insight

to know that you have outgrown a situation

and it's time to move on...

life will move on you."

Let go, or be dragged.

 It's your choice.

You have GREATNESS within you!

People who are angry,
attacking and defensive,
are like frightened animals in pain.
They are simply trying to protect themselves from further injury.
We can best approach them with gentle, loving kindness
for that opens the door to trust.

So called 'late-bloomers' get a bad rap.
Sometimes the people with the greatest potential
often take the longest to find their path
because their sensitivity is a double edged sword-
it lives at the heart of their brilliance,
but it also makes them more susceptible to life's pains.
Good thing we aren't being penalized
for handing in our purpose late.
The soul doesn't know a thing about deadlines.

You know that feeling when you stop yourself from speaking
or you say yes when you want to say no
or you rush yourself trying to dance to the beat of someone else's drum.
You know that feeling you get in your chest,
and just below it and then deep in your belly too.
It's like you have a stomach ache
but the pain comes from beyond your body.
It is coming from that other part of you.
 And it's hurting.
It's grieving and you know with all silent sadness
that you've done it again,
you've disrespected yourself.
You've put a muzzle on your soul.
 And you're hurting for it,
you feel bruised and tender.
And you wanna make it all okay with yourself again
but it was you who did it so you feel stuck
because ultimately it's just about loving yourself...
like you did all those years ago
before you got it into your head
there was something wrong with you.
Yeah, it's all that I'm getting rid of.
That's the change.
I don't want to do that to myself anymore.
I'm done with dishonoring my soul.
I'm done with making myself feel those things.

"You are a thing of beauty.

All of you.

And if I had one wish for you

it would be for you to know this about yourself.

All the time.

 As fact.

And never again question your place in this world.

For I see you questioning yourself all the time.

 Doubting your gifts.

 Fearful of failing.

As if that were possible.

Failure is a human judgment

that the outcome did not meet with expectations.

But the wonderful thing about the experience

that you call failure is that it means you tried.

 And therein lies the triumph.

For it is all about the attempt and not about the outcome.

Do not pack up your dreams when they disappoint you.

Some dreams are only rewarded after many attempts.

And sometimes you pack up your heart way too soon.

Please keep holding the vision strong and keep trying.

And soon the energy will carry you into the heart of your dreams."

"You never know when your moment will be....
that moment when you realize
you no longer recognize the person staring back at you in the mirror,
and you think I am better than this,
this is not who I want to be.
And then,
 one day,
you'll look in that same mirror
and see the person you've always wanted to be...
maybe even better,
and all it took was a change
in your heart and in your thoughts."

~Kim Bayne

most of your words are unnecessary.
All too often you speak simply to fill the space with sound,
because you feel too uncomfortable with the silence.
But this silence is golden.
Only in silence you can hear God speak to you.
Only in silence can a real prayer,
 a heart prayer be born.
 Next time you start chattering,
stop and feel into the silence,
feel its shape, its texture,
and then slowly and silently say
only what really has to be said.

humans learn only by trial and error,
and that includes you.
You've got to live life, not think about it.
Step into the midst of things,
try and fail and learn and stand up again.
The question is not whether you will or will not make mistakes -
you will.
The question is do you want to learn and grow,
or do you want to shrink back and be stuck?
Take that step you've been avoiding.
 You can succeed,
or you can get feedback that it didn't work,
but in either case you are sure to feel alive.

today you should take a vacation from worries.
Take this moment to conjure up a fond memory.
A time in your life when you were content and happy.
Dwell on that moment for a while,
let those feelings of contentment permeate your soul.
Today is a good day to be content,
so take a vacation from your worries

no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
You have to agree that you are less
and that someone else is more to feel inferior.
 If you don't agree,
you can not possibly feel inferior.
You might know something less,
or you might be able to do something less,
but you ARE unique and hence simply incomparable.
Do not buy into being reduced to an object of comparison.

every day you are choosing either to be grateful or to be disappointed.
You can worry to no end about what you don't have.
Or you can marvel at God's breathtaking gifts:
 the morning dew,
 the sun, the clouds,
the trees, the flowers, the birds.
Could you create any of these?
These miracles of life are always around you,
ready to be celebrated,
ready to be welcomed into your life.

sometimes there are storms,
and sometimes there is sunshine.
But through all of the seasons of life,
 God is with you.
Whether you are rejoicing or fighting back tears,
God wants to share the moment with you.
 Allow that to happen,
give thanks in the good times,
ask for help in the difficult times.
Take a minute right now
and tell God what's on your mind.

it's time to let people see your inner beauty.
It's time to let people know the real you.
 Be who you are,
not who you think people want you to be.
You are more beautiful on the inside than you realize,
and you need to share that beauty with others.
 Be transparent,
let your guard down,
let people know the real you.

Good times and bad times are part of living.
It is difficult to fully appreciate joy until you have tasted sadness.
Laughter is sweeter if you have experienced tears.
There may be times when you feel like you're stuck
in a dry and desolate place,
 but an encouraging call or a hug from a friend can be an oasis;
beauty in the desert.
Though it may not be easy,
try to remember that the trials are going to help you
fully experience the joy on the horizon.
